Triumph motorcycle tracker: meet the Stealth S5
The tracker we recommend for most Triumph riders is the Datatool Stealth S5. Triumph sits on its approval list. It is Thatcham S5, our own UK team monitors it 24/7/365, and a single £359 payment includes the fitting.
Triumph owners often keep a second bike for best, so the Quantum 3 (Thatcham S7, no wires) is the other half of the answer.

Pairing the right tracker with your Triumph
- A Street Triple or Speed Triple that gets ridden hard and often. Stealth S5. Wired in, rider tag in your pocket, alerts if the bike moves without you.
- A Tiger 900 on the long routes. Coverage runs across Europe, and the app holds your journey history.
- A Bonneville T120 or Speed Twin that comes out on dry weekends. The Quantum 3 takes no power from the bike. Arm it when you park; if the bike moves while armed, we call you. An approved installer fits it for £249.99; Self-Fit is priced identically.
- A newer Speed 400 or Trident 660 as a first big bike. If it commutes, S5. If it is a weekend plaything, Quantum 3.
- A Triumph with real value tied up in it. The Scorpion VHF+ radio layer is built for the end of a search. Priced at £269.99 on the Quantum 3 (£578.99 in a three year bundle), VHF+ is a self-fit option launching under Ofcom licence 1419997/1.
What Triumph approval gives you
Triumph’s name is on the approval list for the Stealth S5 next to Honda, Yamaha and BMW. Add to that the Thatcham S5 category and you have the two things many buyers look for: the manufacturer is comfortable with the product, and so is the insurance industry body. Our Thatcham explainer goes through what the categories mean.
Triumph dealers can register their interest through the Triumph dealer registration form.
Triumph theft: what we will and will not claim
We do not name individual Triumph models as theft targets, because our monthly recovery posts have not singled any out. The general point stands for every make: it takes about 20 seconds to steal a motorcycle, according to the figure quoted on our Stealth S5 product page, so protection has to be in place first. Read the UK motorcycle theft statistics for the wider data.
Day to day with the S5
The Datatool app (iOS and Android) shows live position and past journeys, plus the tracker’s battery status. Privacy and zero speed modes keep your speed and location hidden unless the bike is stolen. If something moves your Triumph onto a van, tow-away alerts tell you.
Subscriptions begin at £12.49 monthly. Longer plans are £119 for a year, rising to £459 for five; lifetime is £549. See the motorcycle trackers page for the full table and our best motorbike tracker guide for the comparison with other makers of trackers.
