OVER £312K RECOVERED IN APRIL – DATATOOL RECOVERIES

From Yamaha scooters and Honda motorcycles to prestige BMW bikes, our Vehicle Recovery Specialists successfully recovered £312,350 worth of stolen bikes during April.

Working alongside police forces across the UK – most frequently the Metropolitan Police Borough this month – our recovery teams continued operating 24/7/365 to help track, locate and recover stolen vehicles quickly and efficiently.

One of the standout statistics from April was our fastest recovery of the month, completed in just 14 minutes. We aim to recover stolen bikes as quickly as possible, to minimise disruption and get your bike back with you, where it belongs.

DAYTIME THEFTS CONTINUE TO RISE

Our latest recovery data revealed that 57% of bikes were stolen during daytime hours compared with nighttime thefts.

Bike theft is no longer confined to the middle of the night. Criminals are becoming more opportunistic and confident, targeting vehicles whenever an opportunity presents itself. With advanced tracking technology, real-time alerts and dedicated recovery specialists, at Datatool we help to provide you with peace of mind around the clock.

MOST TARGETED BIKES IN APRIL

This month’s most stolen motorcycles and scooters showed a strong mix of commuter bikes and high-value touring motorcycles.

Taking the top spot was Yamaha, with the RayZR proving particularly popular with thieves throughout April. Honda followed closely behind, with the NSS125 and PCX scooter range continuing to appear frequently in theft reports. BMW also featured prominently, particularly the R1250GS Adventure models, which remain highly desirable targets due to their popularity and value.

RECOVERIES ACROSS THE UK

Our recovery teams worked alongside police forces nationwide throughout April, assisting with recoveries in areas including:

  • London
  • Reading
  • Cambridge
  • Leicester
  • Coventry
  • Swansea
  • Doncaster
  • Sheffield
  • Colchester
  • Suffolk

From urban cities to rural towns, bike theft remains a nationwide issue. At Datatool we offer UK-wide and European coverage, helping you to stay protected wherever you travel.

HOW WE LIAISE WITH THE POLICE

When reporting a stolen bike, you should first contact the police and obtain a Crime Reference Number (CRN). Once this is passed to our Vehicle Recovery Team, we can begin working directly with the relevant police force to track and recover your bike.

Our recovery specialists are trained to support police forces with accurate tracking information and real-time vehicle location updates, helping improve recovery success rates and reduce recovery times.
