March was another busy month for our Vehicle Recovery Specialists, who continued working around the clock to help reunite owners with their stolen bikes and vehicles. From early mornings to late nights, the team remained on hand whenever they were needed.
This month, our fastest recovery was completed in just 4 minutes – a brilliant result and another example of how quickly our specialists can respond when every second counts.
Our featured bikes stolen in March were Yamaha, with the most popular model being the NMAX125. Following closely behind was Honda, with the PCX125 proving to be the most commonly targeted model. Completing the top three was BMW, with the S1000 R appearing most frequently in our recovery data.
Recoveries took place across the country throughout March. Some of the most popular recovery locations included Leeds, Gateshead, and Manchester, while further successful recoveries were also completed in Bristol, London, and Dagenham. No matter where a theft occurs, our Vehicle Recovery Specialists work nationwide to assist customers and liaise with the relevant authorities.
An eye-opening 68% of bikes were stolen during the daytime rather than at night, showing once again that thieves are prepared to act at any time. Daylight hours are no barrier, which is why layered security remains more important than ever.
As always, we work closely with police forces across the UK, and in March the Metropolitan Police Borough responded to the highest number of vehicle thefts. We’d like to thank them for their continued support and cooperation with our recovery team.
So far this year, we have recovered an incredible £2.3 million worth of vehicles, with £384,241 worth of bikes recovered in March alone – a figure that demonstrates the real value of having the right protection in place.
